It is that time of year – we are renewing our slate of Directors at the Chamber and we want you to join us for a game-changing term!

Why Serve?

Serving as a volunteer on a non-profit board has a slew of benefits, from personal and professional development, to new professional skills (Robert’s Rules, anyone?), expanding your network, and, of course, adding value to your resume.

At our board room table, we connect, we strategize and we strive to work together to serve the best interests of our membership and our organization.

Many have published eloquent and thoughtful resources about board service –

Why Serve with Us?

The Haliburton Highlands needs your passion, your expertise, your knowledge, and your drive more than ever as we journey towards recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Chamber, as the largest business organization in the County, is well posited to lead through recovery with a strong Board of Directors, strong membership, and powerful community relationships.

The time is now – by serving as a Director with the Chamber, you will have the opportunity to have a direct impact on the recovery efforts of the Haliburton Highlands community.

What is Involved?

Board members must be members of the Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce and adhere to the Member’s Code of Conduct and maintain certain standards of behaviour.

We have created this document that describes more around the expectations of Board service and includes your application form.

The deadline for applications is June 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
