Chamber of Commerce (HHCC), the voice of business in the Highlands, is supporting local businesses and organizations by providing its members with a unique opportunity to liaise with our local Ontario political representative.

On February 5th, 2019, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock Member of Provincial Parliament and Ontario Minister of Labour, Laurie Scott, will be the featured speaker for the monthly meeting of the Breakfast Club at McKeck’s Tap and Grill in Haliburton. This will give HHCC members the opportunity to hear the Minister’s perspectives on her role in the Ministry of Labour, as well as to network with their peers and share their priorities.

Laurie Scott is the Member of Provincial Parliament for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock. Laurie was born and raised in Kinmount, and after being elected five times to represent her constituents at Queen’s Park since 2003, she maintains a strong commitment to public service and understands the importance of giving back to the community. On June 29, 2018 she was appointed to Ontario’s Executive Council as Minister of Labour.

The HHCC would like to formally invite our members along with members of the community to join us at McKeck’s Tap and Grill for this first-ever event with the Minister of Labour and the Chamber. The price for members is $20, the price for non-members is $25. Registration is required, and can be done online at or by calling the Chamber at 705-457-4700.
