Local Initiative Project

The Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce has recently received funding through Haliburton County Development Corp. to complete a project this summer that will further enhance the businesses in Haliburton County.

Through the partnership of U-Links, Haliburton County Development Corp, Haliburton County Economic Development, Tourism & Marketing Dept. and the Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce we will begin the process of researching all the businesses in Haliburton County.

The second phase of our project is to survey as many business sectors through each municipality with an extensive, proven successful survey from OMAFRA.

To facilitate this project we have recently hired Dennis Casey from Roxden Management Services.

Dennis is a long term local in the community, as well as a businesses owner and formerly held positions on the Chamber Board of Directors for 30 years.

We feel Dennis is the perfect fit for the project as he not only understands the outcome of this project but believes in the opportunities that will stem from it.

Dennis will be around the County of Haliburton meeting with business owners to complete the survey in person.
